A dark roast doesn’t happen fast. The beans sit in the heat longer than the rest, pushed past the point where most roasts pull back — until the sugars break down slow and deep, and what’s left isn’t sweetness anymore. It’s something heavier. Earned the hard way.
That’s the life of a long hunter. No fixed season, no early turnaround — just months alone in unmapped country, living off what the land gave up, coming home only when the job was finished. The ones who lasted weren’t the fastest or the loudest. They were the ones built to hold up under time nobody else could stand.
This is that same principle, roasted into a bean. Slow, heavy, unhurried — a cup that doesn’t rush to please you and doesn’t need to.
Tasting Notes
Heavy-bodied and smoke-forward, with dark cocoa, molasses, and a low, smoldering sweetness underneath. Minimal acidity. Long, lingering finish. The kind of cup that keeps pace with a day that doesn’t end when you want it to.
Blend composition varies by season — always built to the same standard.

Freshness Policy
Every bag is roasted within the last 14 days in small batches. Orders ship within 3 days of your purchase.
We will never ship out stale coffee. The Frontier demanded only the best, and so do we.
Ground Coffee Disclaimer
In order to give the best coffee drinking experience, each bag is batch roasted, bagged as whole beans (this allows the coffee flavors and notes to really bloom), and then carefully sealed.
If ground coffee is ordered, we will open the bag(s) no older than two weeks old and grind per order. This is done to prevent back stock of ground coffee from sitting on the shelf and going stale.
Ground coffee stays fresh for about a week or two after grinding, where as whole bean can last for up to 2-3 months. This is why whole bean coffee is always recommended for the best and longest lasting experience.
